Profile: Robert "Bobby" Maggiora

Bobby sings and plays accordion/keyboard in The Internationals™, as well as the Chico Bavarian Band (CBB). Bob is also the Maestro and Emcee for both bands.

To be fair, calling Bobby the "Maestro" of The Internationals™ might be stretching a bit. They tend to be more of a democracy -- or maybe even an autocracy! But Bobby still manages to keep some assemblance of order when the group is performing.

During performances, Robert's masterful accordion and keyboard playing serves as the heart of the band's sound, providing that "creamy nugat center" that fills in all the gaps between the bass, drums, horns and vocals. And he doesn't limit himself to the keyboards... he sings lead and backup vocals in multiple languages!

It is thanks to Bob that The Internationals™ have stayed together over these many years. You can read all about it on the History page. But the reason is really no mystery; Robert loves playing music, and loves having his favorite musician friends around him when he does.
